Neosil is a newly designed antifouling system based on silicone technology. Neosil Fouling Release System (FRS) creates an exceptionally smooth and slippery underwater surface, preventing marine growth from accumulating on your hull.
Neosil is an extremely long-lasting system. Contrary to standard types of antifouling, Neosil does not need to be reapplied each year, thus saving you from the trouble and expense of annual bottom maintenance. When the boat remains docked for a long period of time, a thin layer of growth will eventually form underwater. If desired, this layer can be cleaned very easily with a soft sponge or brush. If the integrity of the finish is broken due to damage, the system can be easily repaired.
The extremely slick Neosil surface ensures faster speeds using less fuel. In addition, Neosil is very friendly to the environment as it does not contain any heavy metals or biocides. It's also a very effective anti-osmosis treatment. Neosil can be used for all types of boats and yachts – whether in salt, fresh or brackish water. It is suitable for a range of substrates such as polyester, steel, aluminium and wood. Plus, it can be applied on top of any existing, well cured, intact, epoxy based primer system. Neosil can be applied easily with a roller or brush – however, airless spraying will give you the best visual result.
